In 1936 The Manor became an official centre of The Esoteric School of Theosophy, whose Head is also the Head of The Manor.
The Esoteric School of Theosophy or 'E.S.' is administered separately from The Theosophical Society or 'T.S.', although its members are required to be members of the T.S. Members of The Theosophical Society, after two years of active membership, who are willing to abide by some basic conditions directed towards a life of sincere altruism and harmless living, may apply to join the School; this was originally founded by H.P. Blavatsky in 1888 and is based on the principles of Raja Yoga. The E.S. provides one avenue for living a Theosophical life, not only through the study of Divine Wisdom, but through its understanding, assimilation, and practice. Its members voluntarily undertake the work required in preparing for the Path of spiritual transformation.
A spirit of harmony with all is emphasised within the School, as well as support for the T.S. and its activities. For those who are interested, further information about the E.S. may be provided on enquiry through the Corresponding Secretary care of themanorfdn@gmail.com.
